Hôtel Le K2***** Courchevel Palace
Born in December 2011, Le K2 whose name conjures up the famous Himalayan peak located in the Karakoram mountain range is a Palace Hotel "village", nestled on the slopes that recalls the unsuspected hamlets that a climber discovers, through breaks in the clouds, during an ascent.
Le K2 is heir to the unique experience of the team of Le Kilimandjaro, Courchevel 1850’s emblematic hotel. To discover Le K2, visitors must enter via its summit, where the reception and the concierges certified by Les Clefs d’Or overlook the village as a whole. After passing through the monumental gates, visitors are greeted by a friendly and efficient reception. In spring 2013, Le K2 joined the "Leading Hotels of the World". In July 2014, Le K2 is joining the exclusive group of luxury French hotels: the Palaces.
Rooms & Suites
The hotel consists of 29 rooms and 5 suite-chalets bathed in light and spread over several storeys, with picture windows providing bird’s eye views of the mountains and the valley. The design, Le K2-style alpine woodwork and specially made furniture echo far-off Himalayan climes. The blonde woods are set off by warm colours, creating a feeling of calmness and well-being. The twenty nine rooms offer average surface areas of between 50 m² and 105 m². Each room has a unique ambiance.
The latest technologies are given their place, including leather-covered LED screen, B&O telephone, PlayStation and Stockinger safe, a truly unique item designed for Le K2: a work of art for storing automatic watches and jewellery with the help of winders and separate compartments.
Le K2 suite-chalets are far more than very large suites. They offer the ultimate in personalisation and all of the advantages of complete privacy.
The suite-chalets are nestled next to forests and slopes, in green and peaceful settings overlooking the valley. Their decor provides a perfect balance between contemporary interior design and alpine tradition.
They enjoy surface areas of 500 m² to 640 m² and are equipped with 5 to 6 rooms, a swimming pool with home cinema, a hammam, sauna or hot tub, a large lounge with fireplace, a TV room, a dining room, a fitted kitchen, a ski room and a lift, as well as large terraces and one of them even has a cinema. A personal vehicle is placed at guests’ disposal in each suite-chalet.
