Visit the Caen Memorial in Normandy Esplanade Général Eisenhower 14000 Caen fr

Caen, a martyr for the Liberation which was bombed during the summer of 1944, has certainly earned homage to the hardship it has faced.

The theme of reconiciliation is held dear to the Caen Memorial and it will guide you throughout your visit, immersing you in 20th century history from World War II to the Cold War. From the assasination of the archduke Franz Ferdinand to the fall of the Berlin Wall, nearly 60 million troops would be lost. The Caen Memorial allows visitors to travel back in time and relive this period whose outcomes we have inherited.
