Cooking classes in New Aquitaine bidart fr

To come back from your holidays with a little souvenir of France and New Aquitaine, why not take part in one of the cooking classes offered by both Michelin starred and regular chefs, who will all be delighted to share their love of the gourmet specialities of south-west French cuisine.

Le Château - Jarnac

In Jarnac, between Angoulême and Cognac, make a stop at the "Le Château" restaurant to receive sound advice from Ludovic Merle, a chef concerned with sharing his expertise during cooking classes combining local produce and flavours from elsewhere. During a half day, you will have the chance to make a menu based on seasonal produce.

Team cooking - Bidart

In the Basque Country, you will be immersed in a traditional gourmet world. You may have heard of the Espelette pepper, the chocolate and the ham from Bayonne. "Team Cooking" hire out the Bassilour estate which is located in Bidart, a village  not far from Biarritz, to give cooking classes there. This friendly activity combines your desires, your ideas and the expertise of a chef. You will therefore enjoy a very relaxing and mouth-wateringly delightful experience by attending a wine and cheese evening, where you will enjoy the cheeses of the Basque Country. You can also learn to make the "real" Basque cake to delight your family upon returning to Australia.

Le Chèvrefeuille - Saint-Cyprien

Lastly, in Dordogne you will have the chance to spend a day (from 9am to 4pm) with the chef of the "Le chèvrefeuille" restaurant located in Saint-Cyprien. This English chef by the name of Ian Fisk previously worked in England, in Essex. The day is split into two parts. In the morning you will head off to the market of Saint Cyprien and Le Bugue to find the produce with which you will cook and create a complete menu. All throughout the day, the chef will share his advice and anecdotes with you on the specialities of the Dordogne.
