Rendez-vous at France Miniature France miniature 78990 Elancourt fr

Have you ever dreamed of being able to travel across France, seeing everything in just a few hours? Visiting the Alps, the French Riviera right through to Brittany, Alsace, and of course Paris, all in one day? Just a 2.5 mile ride from the capital, France’s Miniature Park makes this magical journey possible.

Experience a downsized model world of the country France created within a space of 19 acres. 552,000km2 of mountains, valleys, rivers, cities, historical monuments, seas and ocean, all in one location:  a truly amazing feat.

Take one step, travel 20 miles

Children’s eyes light up as they enter France Miniature. They’ll embrace life as a giant as they walk through 4km of trails filled with miniaturised wonders of French heritage.

Start your adventure in the Rhone-Alpes region. On the trail, travel through a typical village in the Alps at the top of a forest. And, just as a Savoyard shepherd would, ring the bells in the centre of the mountain pastures.

Map in hand; continue your journey through France and 117 of the most beautiful monuments from metropolitan France.

Follow signs in all directions and admire France's greatest treasures, all numbered for ease of access. You’ll be amazed at the 150 scenes reconstituted as 2000 models, all made to a 1:30 scale.

Accurate recreations of real life monuments

Over here, view the Théâtre d’Orange with all its actors and spectators. Over there, see the Château de Versailles and its magnificent rectangular gardens which sit alongside those of Chambord, sounding horns for the hunt.

The extremely realistic models are brought to life by little details to mimic daily life: small trains travelling through the regions, little boats fishing off the coast of La Rochelle around Fort Boyard...

At France Miniature, even the details of the monuments themselves have been recreated. You can go right up to the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral to admire its identically replicated gargoyles. And if you walk along the Mediterranean Sea, you will embrace, in one glance, the coloured bridge of Saint-Tropez and Corsica (see photo).

Educational fun: children rule this world

Learning about and understanding the geography of France, getting a taste of its diversity, France Miniature is a fantastic opportunity for children. Yet all-the-while, having fun, burning energy and feeding their curiousity, it becomes a great all-round experience for everyone.

Activities available at the park:

  • Archaeological excavations for the entire family (whatever you find, you keep!)
  • Challenges such as opening up canals and rebuilding the windows of the Chartres Cathedral
  • More adventurous activities: slides, boats, a zip line, and a mini driving course!

How to get there

From Paris, Porte d’Auteuil: Take the A13 towards Versailles / Saint Quentin en Yvelines, then the A12 towards Dreux, taking the exit for Élancourt. You must pay for parking.
