The Vignobles & Découvertes label aims to provide quality services and visits catering to wine tourism. The label appeals to a customer base that appreciates the world of wine without necessarily being connoisseurs, and offers a range of quality services: accommodation, cultural sites, leisure activities, cellar tours, restaurants, exploration of natural spaces, events and more.
Two destinations in Alsace have been awarded the label: Coeur d'Alsace and Terre & Vins au Pays de Colmar.
Located near the boarders of Germany and Switzerland, Terre & Vins au Pays de Colmar is a unique and major tourist destination, in the centre of Alsace. Composed of 97 villages and small towns with their flowered timber-houses, among which there are 37 wine villages and 30 Grands Crus. The area offers a large scale of varied landscapes where mountains, plains, vineyards, valleys, forests and the Ried plain live together in perfect harmony. The regional nature Park of the Ballons des Vosges covers a large part of this preserved and unspoiled environment.
Thanks to its famous typical Alsatian villages and the richness of its natural and cultural heritage with its renowned vineyards, Terre & Vins au Pays de Colmar provides you with many tourist attractions:
The 8 tourist offices of the area have strictly selected 169 partners who agree with the quality commitment of the label: 25 wine cellars, 48 accommodation options that welcome visitors in a charming environment or on the Wine Route, 34 restaurants with set menus suggesting wine pairings where they’ll also communicate their passion for wine, 12 sites of interest to be discovered, 6 of which are museums, 5 tourist offices committed to an approach of quality tourism (and 3 partner tourist centres), 22 various activities with numerous wine paths and gastronomic walks to go on, or there’s golf, spas, ski resorts and 20 events including the famous “Foire aux Vins” of Colmar and many other events such as music festivals, wine fairs, traditional and regional festivals, the Confrérie St Etienne, one of the oldest wine brotherhoods in France and his extraordinary collection of wines.
The typical Christmas and Easter festivities remain particularly important moments of the year with the Christmas markets, farms and cellars.
