Taste Burgundy
For the fifth consecutive year, the Burgundy Tourism Office is organizing the event « Taste Burgundy, » from June 20 to October 20, 2013, under the support of the Office of Interprofessional Wines of Burgundy (BIVB).
The event is already well into the planning stages: people will be able to enjoy complimentary wine and cuisine, welcoming them to discover the unique wines of Burgundy paired with delicious local food.
Last year’s great success speaks for itself : 151 local owners participated along the Wine Route from the Route du Crémant to Mâcon. 53 restaurant owners participated from the Logis de Bourgogne, Restaurateurs de France, Châteaux Hôtels Collection (labeled Vignobles et Découvertes), and 98 winemakers (All labeled « De Vignes en Caves ») also participated.
- De Tables en Caves: about 50 restaurant owners are offering wine tastings. To find out what makes their wines so great, patrons are invited to meet the winemakers in the cellars and can then buy their own bottles to take home.
- De Caves en Tables: about 50 winemakers are participating in this event by sending their clients to their favorite restaurants. Each winemaker will identify their favorite restaurants that do a great job of pairing their wines with great local specialties.
