The Mirabelle plum has been grown locally in the Metz region for centuries; the Mirabelle plum tree has become the region’s most popular fruit tree, flourishing in the clay soil on the sun-soaked slopes.

Every year since 1947, the Mirabelle Festival (20th – 28th August 2016) takes the form of street entertainment, concerts, dances, markets selling locally-made produce and crafts, firework displays, floral floats and the crowning of the Mirabelle Queen. More information here.

“Bordeaux So Good” is the festival of epicurean and gourmet food. It acts as a 3-day theatre of the French art de vivre and the country’s south-western gastronomy.
