VAR PROVENCE: 12 ports and a pristine destination to discover! Var fr

Var Provence Cruise Club is a network of 12 ports at the heart of Provence and French Riviera on the French Med: Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, Bandol, Sanary-sur-Mer, Les Embiez, the Ports of Toulon Bay (Toulon and La Seyne-sur-Mer), Porquerolles, Hyères, Le Lavandou, Cavalaire-sur-Mer, St-Tropez, Fréjus, St-Raphaël.

During this workshop, you will discover why Var Provence ports are becoming so popular amongst all cruise liners as each port offers a distinctive added value in terms of excursions: Windstar Cruises, RCL Cruises, Azamara Cruises, Seadream Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Seabourn cruises, Saga Cruises, Pullmantur, Viking Ocean Cruises, Tui Cruises, HAL, Thomson Cruises, Costa Crociere, MSC etc… This diversity of the Var Provence Cruise ports satisfies all segments of the cruise market.

The Var Provence Cruise Club reports more than 400 000 passengers (+ 17%) and 300 calls are expected in 2016 with 38 cruise companies - 59 ships to visit its network of 12 cruise ports.

Second most popular holiday destination after Paris, the Var Provence region is located on the southern east coast of France’s Mediterranean sea and offers a preserved environment, and a wide variety of excursions to discover.

The Ports of Toulon bay alone accounts for 75% of the volume of passengers on the total VPCC network, due to its modern and reliable infrastructures : 3 berths in Toulon city-center and one in La-Seyne-sur-Mer (which can accommodate the largest ships up to 340 meters). Its exceptional nautical quality, protected from the prevailing winds, and home of Europe’s biggest navy base, are strong criterias of safety and security which appeal nowadays to cruise lines and are some of its strongest assets.

While the biggest ships berth in the Ports of Toulon Bay, luxury companies with their medium and small sized ships appreciate the more exclusive and charming ports where to anchor.

The variety and richness of the territory offers a wide range of shore excursions in marquee brand ports such as St-Tropez, or in more authentic sites such as Le Castellet, Bormes-les-Mimosas or Hyères. Whether it be its beautiful sandy beaches, historical heritage such as Fréjus roman ruins, Medieval hilltop villages, Cistercian Abbey of Thoronet, traditional arts & crafts, Wine-tasting and Gastronomy, Sports and Leisure…Var Provence Has it all and will surprise you!
