What is new in Rouen this year?
Joan of Arc History Museum in Rouen
The story of Joan of Arc is intrinsically linked with Rouen. It was here that she was tried and burnt at the stake in 1431 and, after a second trial in 1456, exonerated. The Joan of Arc History Center is housed in the magnificent 15th century Archbishop’s Palace, adjacent to the cathedral, where both of Joan’s trials took place. This €10 million project combines a state of the art immersive exhibition space with comprehensive historical content. Transported into the heart of the Middle Ages, the visitor will be able to explore the myth and legend of France’s national heroine. www.historial-jeannedarc.fr/en
