OFF Paris Seine: The First Floating Hotel in France
The first floating hotel on the Seine in Paris, named “OFF Paris Seine”, will dropped anchor at the Quai d’Austerlitz in spring 2016.
The hotel is located at Pont Charles de Gaulle, close to the train stations gare de Lyon and gare d’Austerlitz, as well as the Cité de la Mode et du Design, the new neighbourhood Paris Rive Gauche, and a 13-minute walk from the Notre Dame Cathedral.
The building is accessible via the Tino Rossi gardens, thanks to the convenient promenade along the banks of the Seine River.
This hotel, open all year-round, has 58 rooms including 4 suites, a panoramic lounge over the Seine, a bar, a sun lounge, a swimming pool and a 4300ft2 summer terrace that will give the Seine’s banks a “festive” air.
Two hulls brought together
From an architectural view, the hotel makes use of two boat hulls, 262ft long and 60ft wide, allowing for an indoor walkway. A perfect location for hosting many artistic and festive events, ideal for lovers of the Seine and its unique atmosphere.
A nearby port
Next to this floating hotel, a small harbour for docking a couple of cruise ships will also be built. Just a small feature that will liven up the River in the heart of one of the most beautiful parts of the French capital.
