The Ritz in Paris reopening in 2016 15 Place Vendôme 75001 Paris fr

After 3 years of renovation, the Ritz***** will reopen its doors this year. A revamped journey into the heart of this grand Parisian hotel’s beautiful history, born in 1898. The French art de vivre is now perfectly matched with the latest facilities of today, both serving elegance and comfort.

On the famous Place Vendôme, just a stone’s throw from the Opera Garnier, The Ritz was born from the passion of Swiss entrepreneur César Ritz, who was always on the lookout for the latest novelties. This hotel was also the first to offer its customers electricity, use of a telephone and a bathroom in each room...

A new area dedicated to beauty by CHANEL

At the Ritz, time goes by, but the tradition of modernity remains constant thanks to a range of unique and continually renewed savoir-faire:

  • Beautification and treatment in the exclusive new CHANEL art of skin care area.
  • Gastronomy by the new chef Nicolas Sale.
  • Custom-made cocktails at the Hemingway Bar.

The Ritz is famous for the part it plays in the social and cultural life of Paris, and equally for its formidable class in caring for its guests.

French art de vivre

It starts with a decor that combines the majesty of the 18th Century, the luxuriousness of Empire style, and the rigour of classicism.

Meanwhile, the architecture gives the palace the look of a French chateau. It features 71 rooms with classic decor, and just as many enlarged and redesigned suites that really illustrate the French art de vivre.

Legendary figures live on in the Ritz

In terms of atmosphere, the Salon Proust, Bar Vendome, l’Espadon, Bar Hemingway and the Ritz Bar still allude to the celebrities that gave the Ritz its fame, over a century ago. From Coco Chanel to Ernest Hemingway, through to Marcel Proust, Elton John and Charlie Chaplin...

The Ritz Club gets an upgrade

In terms of well-being, Le Ritz Club and its neoclassical pool remains part of the legend of Ritz Paris. Reborn in a new setting, the new state-of-the-art fitness facilities, sauna and Turkish bath ensure an optimal wellness environment.
