PORTS OF TOULON BAY
Toulon, 1 Bay, 3 Terminals: New facilities for an enhanced experience!
1-Toulon City-Center Terminal
2- La Seyne sur mer Cruise Terminal
3- Le Palais du Commerce & de la Mer (PCM)
In 2016, the Var Chamber of Commerce & Industry invested in the improvement of the cruise facilities, by delivering a brand-new dedicated Cruise Terminal in La Seyne and refurbishing and optimizing the one downtown Toulon.
1- Toulon City-Center Terminal
- Accommodate ships up to 290m, for transit and turn around calls.
- At the heart of the city, the guests are a few steps away from all the facilities and only 15 minutes’ walk from the sandy beaches or train station.
- Offers vast and unlimited parking facilities for excursion buses, so they can allow to easily operate and schedule guaranteed departures for excursions.
Last spring, the terminal downtown Toulon has been completely refurbished and optimized. The Var Chamber of Commerce & Industry invested more than 1 million € in the refurbishment of the whole Terminal, including the building, the parking areas and access to the port.
2- La Seyne-sur-Mer Brand-New Cruise Terminal
In line with the strategy to focus on Quality, the dedicated brand-new cruise terminal has been delivered last spring in La Seyne-sur-Mer. The terminal accommodates now ships, passengers and crew under optimized conditions, for both transit and turn-around operations.
- Accommodate ships up to 340m, for transit and turn around calls
- Located South-West side of the bay, in the main winds’ axis, dedicated to cruises
- A shuttle-boat service allows to cross the bay within 10 minutes via a scenic journey, direct to Toulon downtown (minimizing carbon impact and maximizing shore excursions extra revenues!)
3- Le Palais du Commerce et de la Mer (PCM)
Toulon being an increasingly popular port and destination, to optimize its capacity, an option for calls at the anchor has been developed.
To welcome the cruise guests from ships at the anchor, in the best conditions, a local venue located on the port area, the “Palais du Commerce et de la Mer” is transformed into a short-lived cruise terminal!
This venue, located at the heart of the city, next to the main Terminal downtown, offers a maximum comfort for the guests and a direct access to the tenders. A shore tender service is also available with boats of a 200 guests’ capacity. This option is available only if all the piers are busy, or if the technical requirements of the ships are not compatible with the piers available.
The venue offers 600m² of adjustable room totally supplied with new equipment: restrooms, air conditioning, access for disabled, information desks and so on...Direct access to the tenders with a pier of 40 m long allowing to accommodate 2 tenders simultaneously, 2 parking lots for excursion buses (unlimited capacity) under a 3 minutes walking distance.

- ISO 9001 certification of the cruise activity
Still in line with the strategy of being recognized as the best Quality alternative in the French Med, after having improved the facilities, the aim of the Var Chamber of Commerce & Industry (managing the ports operations and terminals) is now that its services to be ISO 9001 certified.
The guests’ satisfaction level being already quite high (via the surveys conducted the last 3 years, this level is reaching an average of 95% of satisfaction!), this should be just a formality.
