“Great views from sunrise to sunset” is written in black and white on the menu of this restaurant. Between Mont-Blanc and Tarentaise, and conceived by two locals from Montvalezan, L’Antigel (External link) (French only) has mastered the art of warming both bodies and hearts. Its cosy setting with a menu based on fresh produce are undoubtedly its major selling points. Worth knowing: every Thursday is fondue night, with a ride in a tank!
Address: La Rosière 1850, 73700 Montvalezan

Au P’tit Truc: slopeside snacks in Vaujany

What could be better than a tasty break between two runs? A sunny terrace, delicious burgers and tasty sandwiches just as you like them – this is what’s on offer at the P’tit Truc, a small, high-altitude chalet restaurant in Vaujany. Here everything is simply delicious! Non-skiers can also come up to the restaurant on foot too, and enjoy the spectacle of the snowy mountains.
Address: Monfrais, 38114 Vaujany

Chez Nous 2: trendy tapas in Les Deux Alpes

Newly opened in 2021, this friendly, informal tapas bar is a great place to take the kids for an injection of different flavours. Expect sumptuous sharing boards for €30 - and excellent sangria for parents!
Address: Place de Vénosc, 38860 Les Deux Alpes

Health measures in restaurants: what to expect

Please note that for the 2021-22 season, the pass sanitaire (health pass) is not required to access resorts themselves but remains a requirement to access bars and restaurants, in line with measures across the rest of France. Face masks are required when moving around the space. All surfaces are regularly sanitised, and guests are encouraged to practise regular hand washing and use the hand sanitising gel provided.
