« Nourished » by the River Allier, the capital of the Bourbons can be proud of its heritage. It’s impossible to count all the remarkable buildings here: the cathedral, of course, but also the Jacquemart Tower, the Palais de Justice and even the Grand Café with its superb Belle-Époque decor. Not forgetting the National Centre for Stage Costumes, unique in the world, bringing together an incredible collection of costumes and sets from the Opéra de Paris and the Comédie Française, no less. This is certainly a beautiful journey!
The priory church of Saint-Pierre & Saint-Paul
The priory church in Souvigny is quite simply the largest religious monument in the department, and one of the most beautiful. It’s home to the funereal necropolis of the Bourbons
