Walk in the forest and swim in the river; it's family fun for all!
The watershed lands of Fango surrounds Falasorma and Marzulinu, still imprinted with the footsteps of the great migration between piaghja (the beach) and Muntagna (mountains). This territory is now a vast area of unspoiled nature that has been designated a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO where residents, tourists, environmental managers, and researchers coexist. The Fango flows down the western slope of one of the highest peaks of the great Corsican mountain ridge (Punta Minuta: 2,556 m, ~8,386 ft). Gorges carved into the rhyolite, and natural swimming areas, have a great influx of visitors during the summer months.

Some tips for before you leave...
The basic essentials in your bag: good shoes (thongs/sandals for the beach!), sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, sandwiches, a trash bag, at least 1.5 litres of water, a cell phone (fully-charged), a first aid kit, and of course a camera for the memories.
Corsica experiences serious fires each year. Help us to protect this incredible nature: Do not abandon your trash - Moderate your pickups - Do not smoke - Do not camp or light fires - Do not disturb the animals. In the event of high winds or storms in the mountains, forest walks and swimming in rivers is strongly discouraged (or even banned).
