The Côte d’Azur’s Jazz à Juan Festival will celebrate its 60th Anniversary and take place July 9 to 22, 2020.

Festival organizers have just announced four major artists who will perform during this anniversary edition of the Antibes Jazz Festival:
On Thursday, July 9, Marcus Miller—American jazz composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, best known as a bass guitarist—and no stranger to the festival, will give the opening concert at the famed Pinède Gould and has been given carte blanche for the whole of what promises to be an exceptional evening.
Two French performers will follow on Saturday, July 18:
Drummer, singer and composer Anne Pacéo has played in more than 38 countries and this is what legendary jazz double bass player Charlie Haden had to say about her: “She has impressed me immensely by her talent, her musicality and her devotion to her chosen form of art. Her personal style and a particular sound make her a unique musician."

The hugely popular French-Lebanese trumpeter and composer, Ibrahim Maalouf will also star on Saturday, July 18. In a 2015 review, The New York Times hailed him as “a virtuoso of the quarter-tone trumpet.” Also in 2015, he was invited by Marcus Miller to perform with him at the Jazz à Juan.
The 60th edition of Jazz à Juan will close with American great Lionel Richie.
The full program and artists performing will be announced at a press conference late February.
One of Europe’s oldest festivals, Jazz à Juan has hosted the Jazz & music world’s biggest names from Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles and Miles Davis to Sarah Vaughan, Jessie Norman and Wynton Marsalis—just to name a few. All performers, both past and current, take the Jazz World’s most beautiful stage—La Pinède Gould and its backdrop, the Mediterranean Sea in the South of France.
