New York, NY – The 2017 cruise season marks many exciting updates to CroisiEurope’s river cruise offerings. In addition to several new and exciting itineraries and five ships joining the fleet, CroisiEurope is introducing a new category of excursion packages.
INTRODUCING “DISCOVERY” EXCURSIONS
This season marks the addition of a new excursion package option for travelers with CroisiEurope. Beyond the traditional "Classic" excursions, guests can opt to book a "Discovery" excursion package designed to offer out-of-the-ordinary experiences while on shore. These include hikes through famed vineyards, helicopter rides or safari-style visits by jeep of national parks.
Discovery excursions must be booked in advance and can be reserved through the call center at 1-800-768-7232.

Beer: Belgium's Liquid Gold
This 5-day cruise will introduce you to Belgium's world renown beer. In addition to the superb French cuisine served standard on board all CroisiEurope cruises, guests will sip this "liquid gold" while they discover the country's beautiful cities like Liege, Hasselt, Antwerp and Brussels. Excursions will include beer tastings, product presentations and visits of some of Belgium’s most famous breweries and landmarks, including the Maison des Brasseurs Museum. The Beautiful Blue Danube: From Budapest to Passau

Central Europe and the Balkans
CroisiEurope is introducing a new, first-of-its-kind 10-day cruise between Central Europe and the Balkans in 2017 with an itinerary that will travel through Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia, and Croatia along the Danube and Sava Rivers. Along the way, guests will discover the charming towns, cultural traditions and historical sites as they explore the cities of Belgrade and Zagreb, Lonjsko Polje & Kopacki Rit Nature Parks, the Orthodox monastery of Krusedol and Sremski Karlovci and more. There is also an optional 1-night extension to visit the Baroque town of Varazdin, Lake Balaton and a tour of Tihany before returning to Budapest. NEW SHIPS COMING IN 2017
On the Douro River
A new premium and innovative ship will be added to CroisiEurope’s fleet on the Douro River: the MS Miguel Torga. Boasting three luxurious decks and a pool, guests will be treated to a contemporary interior decor and 66 cabins that can accommodate 132 passengers. Built at the Sambre and Meuse Shipyard in Namur, Belgium, it will be joining the four other ships on the Douro River. Beginning in 2017, it will host 8-day cruises on the “Golden River,” leaving from Porto and stopping in Regua, Vega de Terron Ferradosa and Pinhão.
On the Mekong River
The RV Indochine II, coming in 2017, will be a high-class colonial-style ship joining the other four vessels on the Mekong. Accommodating 60 passengers in 30 cabins, guests will be treated to an extravagant vacation experience, due to the ship’s novel design and spacious private balconies. Itineraries along the Mekong will operate in both directions from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City, with stops in Angkor, Tonle Sap, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Tralach, Koh Chen, Phnom Penh, Chau Doc, Sa Dec, Cai Be and My Tho.
On the Rhine and the Danube Rivers
Furthering the company’s commitment to the Rhine and Danube Rivers, the MS Symphonie and the MS Douce France will go through a complete transformation into all-new, best-in-class ships offering a modern design and stylish décor. With a capacity of 106 passengers in 54 comfortable cabins spread out over two decks and 135 passengers in 68 comfortable cabins, respectively, their state-of-the-art technology and open spaces lend to its elegant, friendly ambiance.
On the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers
Sailing on the Chobe and Zambezi Rivers, CroisiEurope will be welcoming a new, luxurious river cruise ship to its fleet in 2017. This new cruise offering will be available to book through the US call center, with prices and itinerary details to follow. The new ship will operate 9-day cruise-and-land combined itineraries in Southern Africa beginning in early 2018 for up to 16 passengers in eight exterior-facing deluxe suites with balconies, a panoramic restaurant, lounge bar and rooftop patio with pool and chaise lounges, followed by a stay in CroisiEurope’s first ground accommodations in Botswana.
