Australia - Le Havre. The intimacy of a link (1801-2021)
Natural History Museum, from June 5 to November 7
The Museum honors Australia through the arts and sciences.
220 drawings by Charles-Alexandre Lesueur and Nicolas-Martin Petit from Bonaparte's expedition to Australia (1800-1804) will be presented alongside contemporary Australian creations.
We will talk about animals, geography, marine environments, singular discoveries... then and now - here and there!
Australie, au-delà du rêve. Australia beyond the Dream
Museums of Art and History, from June 5 to November 7
The three Museums of Art and History host unique collections of Aboriginal art. Graville Abbey presents the exhibitions "Australia, beyond the Dream - The art of Papunya" and "Australia, beyond the Dream - Kulata Tjuta". The Hotel Dubocage in Bléville presents the exhibition "Australia, beyond the Dream - The painted barks of Arnhem Land".
The Maison de l'Armateur echoes them with the hanging of two paintings by aboriginal artists.

Painting now - Painting today in Aboriginal lands
Municipal Archives, July 10 to September 19
Celebrating the richness and dynamism of contemporary Aboriginal painting, the exhibition brings together works from Aboriginal communities across the continent, from South Australia to Arnhem Land, through the Red Centre, the Western Deserts and the Kimberley.
Organized by IDAIA in close collaboration with the artists, their cooperatives and a team of Aboriginal curators, the exhibition explores the cultural, political and economic issues for the artists, and acquires works that support the ethical and sustainable Aboriginal art sector.
Painting Your Culture - Contemporary Aboriginal Artists
Incarnato Gallery, September 18 to November 7
Through a selection of paintings, sculptures and painted objects, the exhibition explores how artists incorporate their culture into their work, whether in wood, ceramic or canvas, and how each object tells a story.
Organized by the social enterprise IDAIA, in collaboration with Galerie Incarnato, the exhibition features works from official Aboriginal artists' cooperatives, available for purchase to help support the ethical and sustainable Aboriginal art sector.
Between sports, theater, music, storytelling and so on… you can assist to the Fitzroy Coffee festival (External link) from august 26th and august 29th at the Cargo coffee shop. This festival creates a bridge between Le Havre (External link) , the first French city to import green coffee, and Melbourne, an essential place for all the baristi of the world.
