Vignobles & Découvertes: Rhône Crussol

The Vignobles & Découvertes label aims to provide quality services and visits catering to wine tourism. The label appeals to a customer base that appreciates the world of wine without necessarily being connoisseurs, and offers a range of quality services: accommodation, cultural sites, leisure activities, cellar tours, restaurants, exploration of natural spaces, events and more.

Four destinations in Rhône Valley have been awarded the label: Autour des Dentelles de Montmirail, Condrieu, Côte Rôtie, D'Hermitage en Saint-Joseph (External link) and Rhône Crussol.

Destination: Rhône Crussol

The “Rhône Crussol” destination covers 11 districts characterised by a landscape of hillsides flanked by prestigious vineyards laid out in terraces including Châteaubourg, Cornas, Guilherand-Granges, Saint-Péray, Soyons, Toulaud, Alboussière, Boffres, Champis-Saint Romain de Lerps and Saint Sylvestre.

The Crussol - Côtes du Rhône region is where the Saint-Péray and Cornas AOCs are found and also includes parcels of land at Saint-Joseph.

The “Rhône Crussol” destination offers a selection of 11 partner cellars open to tourists and 13 accommodation options, along with a choice of 9 restaurants serving traditional cuisine along with set menus suggesting wine pairings. Visitors are welcomed by Rhône Crussol Tourisme tourist office, or by a tourist centre in the area.

Visitors will be able to discover sites such as the Château de Crussol or the Farming and wine museum, and can enjoy a number of activities linked to wine which are available in several languages, plus events that highlight the region and its local traditions.
