Two armistices were signed in a train carriage of the Compagnie des Wagons-Lits, on an artillery railway in the Compiègne Forest: that of 11 November 1918 and that of 22 June 1940. The on-site museum exhibits a perfect reconstruction of the armistice carriage. Upon exiting the museum, discover the Augustin Trébuchon Memorial Garden, which pays tribute to all soldiers who have died serving their country, from 1870 to the present day.
