Maison Christian Dior, Makes perfect scents

Can perfumes be “tasted”? they can, at Maison Christian Dior, where every detail has been crafted to transmit a love of perfume “in the spirit of sharing,” according to dior perfumer creator François Demachy.

Demachy is the name behind the enticing range of perfumes, body creams, liquid hand soaps, soaps and candles from Maison Christian Dior. Describing the creative process behind the Maison Christian Dior, he says: “I am completely free to do whatever I want without having any artistic directions or objectives imposed on me.”

“It’s re-creation for me, in the literal sense of the word and I benefit from the finest raw materials, the rarest ingredients and Dior’s expertise. From bloom to bottle, I have the freedom to open myself up to everything that comes my way. A painting, a piece of music, an aria from an opera, a chance encounter, a journey, a silhouette: everything inspires me. This collection is an anthology of emotions, an olfactory ‘sketch book’.”

Demachy describes these Maisons as more than just boutiques. “Above all, you should feel comfortable and at home there.”
