The Vignobles & Découvertes label aims to provide quality services and visits catering to wine tourism. The label appeals to a customer base that appreciates the world of wine without necessarily being connoisseurs, and offers a range of quality services: accommodation, cultural sites, leisure activities, cellar tours, restaurants, exploration of natural spaces, events and more.
Four destinations in Rhône Valley have been awarded the label: D'Hermitage en Saint-Joseph, Rhône Crussol, Condrieu-Côte-Rôtie and Autour des Dentelles de Montmirail.
Destination: Autour des Dentelles de Montmirail
"Autour des Dentelles de Montmirail” destination gathers together seven villages: Beaumes de Venise, Gigondas, Lafare, La Roque Alric, Sablet, Suzette and Vacqueyras.
Around the wonderful and spectacular “Dentelles de Montmirail”, these typical regional villages offer a wide selection of wine cellars, restaurants, bed and breakfasts, cottages and hotels. The visitor will discover 5 Côtes du Rhône wines: Muscat de Beaumes de Venise (sweet wine), Beaumes de Venise, Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Côtes du Rhône Villages Sablet.
With highly perched villages and their bell towers, narrow streets, shady squares, ancient fountains and chapels, you'll be able to discover the heart of Provence. Explore the rich heritage, and learn the history of the region through guided tours.
Marking the beginning of the Alps in the Rhone Valley, the “Dentelles de Montmirail” are saturated by typically Mediterranean vegetation, aromatic herbs, holm oak, Aleppo pine and capers.
Orchards and hills covered with vineyards and olive trees, blades of limestone carved by erosion… Whether you are walking, biking, or passionate about rock climbing, you will discover breathtaking landscapes during your tour, and you will awaken your senses.
